About Us
We are a warm, diverse church committed to fostering a vibrant community centered on faith, love, and service. We offer engaging worship services and various ministries for all ages and also have a K-8 Christian school, Olney Adventist Preparatory School. Our mission is to share the message of Christ through meaningful connections, community outreach, and opportunities for spiritual growth. Whether you join us in person or online, we welcome you to be part of our family and explore your faith with us.
Established in 1978, the Olney Seventh-day Adventist Church is a diverse congregation of approximately 200 members. We are especially known for the great opportunities we offer for learning and adventure for children and youth of all ages and for the relationships that their families build with one another.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be a vibrant, welcoming community where all individuals can grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, reach out to our community, and share God's love.
Our Mission
We exist to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and strengthen families as we look forward to His return.
Our Values
We care about the Bible as God’s Word, inclusiveness in worship, activities to strengthen the whole person, and service to our community.
Our Beliefs
We are part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with more than 20 million members worldwide. Adventists are a diverse family of Christians. We exist to help people everywhere understand the Bible and find freedom, healing, and hope in Jesus Christ.
Seventh-day Adventists believe in the authority of the Bible as God’s inspired word, faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, and the observance of the Sabbath on the seventh day (Saturday) as a day of rest and worship. We emphasize holistic health, including physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, and are committed to evangelism and community service. We also believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ and the importance of living a life in harmony with Biblical principles.
We hold 28 Fundamental Beliefs that describe how we interpret the Bible for daily application.
Our beliefs touch six categories — God, man, salvation, the church, daily Christian life, and last-day events (restoration) — and you can learn more here.
