Give & Serve

Tithe and Offerings

God commands us to return a tithe, the first ten percent of our income. Returning tithe helps to support the spreading of the gospel by supporting pastoral work, education, and evangelism. Learn more about how tithe is allocated. In addition, the church requests your generous giving through offerings to support local church activities, as well as regional and global initiatives. Olney SDA Church is part of the Potomac Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in the North American Division (NAD). Our members’ contributions are collected through the NAD-operated Adventist Giving — you can pay your tithes and offerings online here or bring checks or cash to our in-person services any Saturday. You’ll get tax receipts at the end of the year for your total contributions.

Participate in Church Service

We are always looking for children and adults to participate in our worship service through music, storytelling, and other speaking opportunities. We also welcome greeters and children’s Sabbath School teachers and helpers. If you have a talent to share or want to help, email the church office at Hello@olneysda.org.

Donate Food or Gift Cards

Olney Help has been providing food and financial assistance to local Olney, Maryland, area families since 1969. Our church and school support them year round with generous donations of food and gift cards to their pantry.

Join us in helping families in need in our community. Remember to pick up some non-perishables (cereal, cans, rice, pasta, jellies, pancake mix etc.) whenever you go grocery shopping. Drop your donations off in the bin in the church foyer on Saturdays or the bin in the OAPS school foyer during the week or on Sundays during pickleball. You can also bring grocery gift cards (Giant, Safeway, Harris Teeter) or cash — any amount — and drop them in secure mailboxes attached to the donation bins.

A list of most needed items you can donate at church or school is on the Olney Help website and you can also order items from their wish list on Amazon.
